Week-in-Review: Word Camp Ann Arbor Packed with Happiness
Blog, WordCamps
On October 13, WordCamp Ann Arbor rocked the beautiful campus of the University of Michigan. BoldGrid’s own Nicole P made the trip to spread the word about everyone’s favorite drag-and-drop WordPress site-building plugin. According to her, the experience was outstanding.
WordCamp Ann Arbor packed two days full of panels, speakers, AMAs, and a hopping Happiness Bar! How could anybody not enjoy an event that includes a Happiness Bar?Nicole tells us that the organizers did an excellent job. She felt that their passion and dedication to the WordPress community shone through in every detail of the weekend’s festivities. In fact, Ann Arbor was the third WordCamp in Michigan in just five months. Clearly, Michigan’s WordPress community is growing at an astounding rate. Among the many highlights, one stood out: the very animated 13-year-old Emerson Jeffries speaking on the experience of owning a business at a young age.I'm so comfy today in my awesome #WCA2 hoodie, thanks again @WordCampA2 for a great camp! pic.twitter.com/1rG3WQri18

Throughout the weekend, Nicole noticed a lot of buzz about WordCamp Detroit, scheduled for early next year. Detroit’s WordCamp had experienced an extended hiatus for a number of years, so its revival seems very promising. Nicole and the rest of the BoldGrid family look forward to Detroit and all the other Michigan Camps next year.On behalf of Nicole, and everyone at BoldGrid, a big thanks to the WordCamp Ann Arbor organizers and participants. Thanks to everyone in the community for welcoming BoldGrid and showing so much interest!Learning from an amazing young man at #WCA2 pic.twitter.com/PwnuMBAhaf
